Intent of Change

Refactor (non-breaking change which improves the structure or operation of the implementation)

Description

changes the remote check command so that if an error occurs the git details are returned to the user instead of a replaced generic error

Motivation and Context

Makes it easier to troubleshoot issues with git remotes and to understand why they have failed
