Sorry for the late reply. The 1.20.1 version is a little buggy in general at the moment. I'll make sure to look into this

0.18.7 is up and fixed several issues. Let me know if it's fixed?

Thanks for reporting @LeandroSizilio, could you share your mod list? Or your latest.log file?

I have literally the same issue. I configured local mohist 1.20.1 server, other mods work, but this does not. However, it does work in singleplayer. I checked configuration and chopping is enabled, and no errors about treechop are displayed during server start. How to fix that? I use 0.18.8 mod version. I really like this particular tree chopping mod and want to play using it with my friends as soon as possible.

I did eventually fix this issue. It was a mod incompatibility, it was either that or a different forge version fixed the issue. I don't remember exactly how I fixed it. my advice. just yoink the mods out put tree chop in and keep adding stuff till it breaks to find the incompatibility. I'm pre sure a number of mods didn'y work well with treechop.

Glad to hear it’s working! If any of you manage to identify which mods are causing the conflict, please also let me know and I’ll try to get them fixed 🙏

I'm having the exact same issue for 1.20.1, but my problem is I have 230+ mods and it only works in single player, I have no idea which mod is causing it and doing the half and half method for testing is going to take a minute, if anyone has an idea of what mod is causing this that'd be great!

It has several mods, if you're running a server off a website that might be the cause, I know I was doing so, and I believe a combination of mods causes issues, the best way to do it is to note down what your top priority mods are. add them first and see, then go off that. If you are using a website to run your server you could try switching to a server hosted off your PC see if that changes anything, website hosted servers are a bit icky and can have weird compatibility issues from my personal experience. if you want to send the mod list I can see if any mods ring a bell.
