validation server side

Hi jeff. It´s me again jeje.

I am trying to do some validation on the server side. I have a column on the 
table which is empty aht load moment and i need to fill it. Of course this 
column is part of the worksheet. I need to do the required validation on the 
server side, but if i click on save changes without modify the column, this 
worksheetcolumn is empty on the server side and i can´t work with it.

Do you have any idea of how could i solve this problem¿?
