Possible to use Apple Remote with audirvana? #35

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Started Audirvana
2. Started Apple Remote on iPod Touch 4g
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
To be able to control Audirvana with Apple Remote.  Apple Remote kept trying to 
connect to my iTunes library only.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest Audirvana.  Latest Apple Remote.

Please provide any additional information below.
I know this is not a defect but didn't know how else or where to ask why the 
Apple Remote isn't working with Audirvana.  I may be mistaken but thought it 
was supposed to.

You can use the script William Scott has written to get Audirvana controlled by 
iTunes, and thus Apple remote.
Look in computer audiophile forum thread for getting it.

I may include direct connection with an iPhone/iPad remote in a future release

Just a thought about remote controlling the player, why not embedding a minimal 
basic web server in audirvana with simple HTTP methods for controlling 
play/pause/previous/next/volume ?
This will allow easy development by other of interface on many different 
devices like iphone/android/laptop/arduino... anything that can send http 
request...
