Playlist and volume control update issues #38

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

There are couple of issues, i have clubbed them all here.

1. Playlist save: Tracks added to existing list appear in different order after
re-opening app. Am not sure how it picks up the order.
2. Playlist save: Remove all tracks, quit. Restart app, tracks appear instead
of empty list.
3. Repeat playmode: Play the final track on repeat mode, add new tracks. Player
jumps to first track.
4. Volume control update: Mac changes volume level on connecting/disconnecting
headphone but audirvana volume control is not updated to reflect that.

Hope am clear in conveying the issues.

#1 ought to be fixed in latest revs. If it still happens, can you tell which
rev you have used for the test.
#3 fixed in r135

Am sorry, #1 issue is ofcourse fixed in the revs. I was confusing with 0.8.3
version and the dev version. Sorry about that :)

Another issue i noticed now, folders ending with file name extensions like
.mp3/.flac are treated as files while adding tracks.

Can you elaborate on this one ?
I've tried it, and yes, the OSX open dialog doesn't display the little arrow as
for folders, but that's it.
It opens correctly the files inside the folder as for any other folder.

And FYI, I can't do anything about this little arrow as it is OSX code, not
Audirvana

Yes your correct, audirvana loads all files in the folder. But the point is, am
not able to select the tracks i want to play.

Think the problem lies when you restrict files in the open dialog. If you could
allow to choose files and skip those are not compatible, then the problem will
not arise.

Its only a minor issue, i can rename the folders and be done with it though :)

#4 volume is wrongly remembered. Volume change occurs when headphone is
unplugged. Plug it back, speaker volume is taken instead.

I think the usage of multimedia keys should be an option. I can't use version
0.9 because I like to use the multimedia keys for iTunes...

I run iTunes alongside and drag songs I want to play for people using audirvana
and pre-listen using itunes. Overlapping keys makes this impossible to reliably
go through multiple hours of DJ'ing :)
