If you have any new information you can add it to the discussion in the duplicate PR. In general, I think all pull requests should have more details than this. Or at least please explain your motivation: the first time this came up it was because someone waned to convince a "legacy" certificate authority that Handshake was totally safe and user friendly and ready to be integrated -- and I do not personally think there is any proof that is true (especially since BITCOIN still uses the word "experimental")
I am going to close this for now, but I appreciate your input and please just consolidate your comments to the existing PR
Sorry Mathew @pinheadmz I hadn't seen the other issue, should have searched first.
I just remembered this was proposed somewhere in the community and assumed there was never a follow up.
