The following users have volunteered servers:

• @haneefmubarak (1 slave)
• @Jan4V (3 servers - perhaps 1 master and 2 db?)
• @XePeleato (1 VPS - perhaps 1 master?)

At the moment, 1 or 2 master servers ought to be enough. However...

We need to find more users who can provide slave servers. Remember - slave servers don't need to be powerful or have large resources (disk or bandwidth):

Minimum specs for a slave server:

• On and connected 24/7 (with a fixed IP and openable ports)
• 250 kB/s connection (not metered)
• ~10GB disk space (total)
• two cores, 2.0 GHz, recent cpu (x86_64)
• 1 GB RAM
• thats really about it

Also, if anyone else has Azure credits, it would be nice, as we can then setup additional DB servers (#3 - couchbase should have a minimum of 4 DB servers)

My vps is hosted at 1&1, it can reach 1 or 2GB of RAM, it has more than 10GB of disk space And it uses CentOS, but it can be changed to any Linux distro.

Per Month, then, i think if you exceed it, it reduces to 10MB/s

Are you sure that it is 1GB and not 1TB? Because 1GB seems awfully low.

Ok there we go. I think we should count yours as a DB server too. Now we only need one more DB server.

So here's where we are right now:

We need 1 or more additional DB servers (hosted in a cloud, decent amount of bandwidth, decent amount of persistent storage).

We also need 5 or more additional slave servers (specs in first post).

That leaves a total of six servers needed before we can get going.

It would be extremely helpful if someone could provide even one server for the above categories. I noticed some people who have either watched. starred, or commented on an issue from Aixen but who have not begun actively contributing (ie: signed up to do anything):

This is a good chance to start. If you or someone you know can provide one or more servers for either of the two categories, as stated earlier, it would be massively helpful.

@XePeleato Can we also set the nameservers for the domain to our own nameservers or can we only use their nameservers? Because I have some nameservers that we could use if they let us use our own.

more questions relating to resources:

• [x] are there any users who would be interested in contributing slave servers? would adding a credits list (or some form of recognition) and/or maybe some additional bonuses/privileges (higher priority processing for their user or something, perhaps a star or something on their profile)
• [ ] are their any small to medium size developers or development companies (especially game studios) that would be able to contribute a master server and/or DB server? what form of recognition would they like? are there other perks that they would like, perhaps being a certified developer, having an organization account, being able to test their games against the aixen infrastructure, getting help with integration, or perhaps anything else? Indie studios may be a good fit for something like this.
