Cyanogen's "Keep home screen in memory" causes problem with Sipdroid on incoming calls #167

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Receive a call

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: Ringing, seeing the answering screen
What happens: Rings only once, answering screen does not pop up

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
sipdroid 1.1.4
Cyanogen 4.2.3.1

Which SIP server are you using? What happens with PBXes?

Not really a bug, at least rather not of Sipdroid. Nevertheless I think 
that this is the right way to report it since it might be of interest to 
others. So please just tag it wont-fix, etc.

Cyanogen activates an option in the app "Spare Parts" where you can tell 
the operating system to try to keep the Home Screen App in memory. It 
seems to be active by default. Unfortunately what happened for me was that 
this made it impossible for Sipddroid to work properly. While making 
outgoing calls still worked, it was impossible to receive calls. It was 
ringing only once, then the green light turned yellow and green again, 
like if it was reconnecting. Deactivating said option in "Spare Parts" app 
fixed the issue, Sipdroid now works again properly like it did in the past.

Did you try the method of locking Home described at the bottom of our FAQ page? 
That 
might work better.

Thanks for the hint, it really works and does not cause any problems for 
sipdroid.
