We need to make a final decision on licensing. This has been discussed over a long period. We want the project to be open source, so that the community has core freedoms to view, edit and distribute the code. The final decision is between:

AGPLv3 license that allows everyone to use the software but mandates sharing modification on distribution or network use.
MIT license that is a clear, easy to understand and permissive license.
