Large Text Fields Pasted Into Editor Cause the Editor to be non-Responsive #1018

Describe the bug Pasting large amounts of text, e.g. JSON from a BLOB column causes the editor to become non-responsive

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Execute a new query that has a column with a large size of non-SQL text e.g. JSON
  2. Copy and paste the column contents into the SQL editor
  3. Enjoy the rainbow

Expected behavior Editor should not try to parse extremely long lines of any kind of text and remain responsive

Just curious what size json are you pasting, as I'm not able to reproduce this. Any chance you could upload an example file?

Hmmm, I'm seeing even a 100mb json file load (it takes about 5-10 seconds for the paste, but then it goes smoothly). When you receive the beachball, it just stays hung forever?
