Feature Request: Separate Functions and Stored Procedures in tree view [Redshift] #882

Open DM1145 opened 1 year ago

DM1145 commented 1 year ago

When connected to a redshift cluster and browsing resources, functions and stored procedures are grouped in a single folder under their schema, called "Functions".

They should be separate - Functions should be listed under "Functions" and Stored Procedures should be listed under "Stored Procedures", such as any other engine that supports both. To display similar to other engines (as an example, MySQL) both of these folders should be under a top-level bolder called "Programmability".

As noted when creating a bug or feature request the following environment details are required:

Environment (please complete the following information):

Device: [e.g. iPhone6, MacBook] OS: [e.g. iOS8.1, macOS 11] SQLPro app Version [e.g. SQLPro Studio 2022.x] Please ensure you specify the full app name. (ex: SQLPro Studio, SQLPro for MySQL, etc). Target database server [e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, etc]

Please re-open once those details have been provided.

That makes sense. I'll split them up so that they match the other supported databases.

Q: Would you prefer a 'Programmability' node with the functions and stored procedures node underneath it, or would you prefer to not have a 'Programmability' node and just have the two separate nodes on the root level (saves expanding the extra node)?

DM1145 commented 1 year ago

Preferences aside, I believe that most toolsets in use today separate these at the root node - so if asked I'd suggest doing that rather than requiring an extra mouse-click.

I'm sorry for not being there. i just started looking at this stuff looking for help with my interface motu 828es not one of apples favorites. The setup for the k2600 non-usb controller is a nightmare in logic pro. The core midi is weird too. I had no idea what i was agreeing to when I accepted your offer of training. I'm not of that school, I'm in serious need of learning networking. I don't know what a repository is. A line telling the computer how to do something super smart. I guess scratch me off that list. I've got too much other stuff going on. Thank you for the invitation, I've got some catching up to do!
