client updated itself and deleted all my history #302

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Apparently just opening the app when there is an update available

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I should be able to see my history, but instead it is all gone

On what operating system, browser and browser version?
Windows 7, Chrome Version 40.0.2214.115 m

Please provide any additional information below.
