Hi @hannahdxz ,

You did an amazing job at this. I really like the colour (and the ability to choose the colour for the graph) and the image of your liquor app. They make your web so user-friendly, and pleasant to navigate through without any confusion. In addition, the "sort-by-price" option makes such a nice touch to your app too.

However, I have just one minor critique. I think it would make more sense that you put the "Download results" option above(or different panel) the "We found ### options for you" bar. The reason was that in the your app, the "The download results" was below the, say, "We found 15 options for you", which leads me to understand that the download results was to download the said 15 options! If you put the "Download results" somewhere different would eradicate this confusion.

Beside this minor detail, everything is amazing!! Fantastic job!!!

Hi @hannahdxz!!!

• Your README file is clear and explains the new features you added to the BC Liquor Store Shiny app, however it is important to add, at least a very short description of what the App does... I know, that seems silly for all of us, since we worked on this app in class, but given that this app is out there in the web, it is worth mentioning something like "this app allows a user to explore...."
• The link and shiny app are working, and there are lots of new features added.
• I'm wonder about the option to sort the results table by price, when I check the box, it doesn't seem to change the order of products to ascending or descending order by price... or is there something happening to the table that I'm missing?
• All the other features, such as interactive table, bar colors, etc... are functioning and improve greatly the first example from class.
• I really like the way you added the country selector, and that all results are displayed if country info is not provided, I tried to fix this on my app without success, will definitely check out your code on this.
• Overall, excellent Shiny app and hw!!!

Hi @hannahdxz, here are some comments about your hw08:

App split into ui.R and server.R: Yes Deployed on shinyapps.io: Yes Repo has code and README: Yes Number of features implemented: 10 Progress report: No

• Good README which describes the additional features implemented. However, you did not include a progress report!
• It is not necessary to include app.R since you have ui.R and server.R
• Implementing text input was a good idea, however for the application it relies on users being able to spell their country correctly (which isn’t always the case!). I think select input is more practical since there are a finite number of countries although text input still counts as an additional feature. A combination of this is to use selectizeInput which is worth looking into
• Your app is visually appealing and there doesn’t seem to be any major bugs. Good work overall!!
