The adding of literature notes into obsidian simply doesn't work, even though I set. up the right path and when searching for literature notes the window shows all my saved (bib latex) references, however I can not insert them. It always says

I already tried re-installing both obsidian and Zotero several times. Would really appreciate any help!!

What does your Citation plugin settings look like, particularly the two paths? It looks like the path for the database is correctly setup but the path to the literature notes is not. If you have set the path to a folder that does not yet exist in the Vault folder structure, I am pretty sure that can cause this issue. If it does not exist, try again after manually creating it. If that does not work, try again with an empty literature note path. That should create the notes at the root of the Vault.

Bless you!! The using an empty literature note path was it!

In case someone else faces this problem, I would like to point out that even if the database path and literature note path are both ok, it is still possible to get this error. In my case, it was caused by the use of elements in the literature note template that where between {{}} (other than the ones used by this plugin of Obsidian). Nonetheless, I don't think it is an issue as people generally won't use such syntax here (in my case it was by mistake from a template used with the QuickAdd plugin).

I have the same problem and have tried everything. Is there any different fix?
