The project selection from the project field and dropdown has a few problems, partially due to the filter functionality:

How should the field behave when the user wants to type something after selecting an item (but not having started)?
See if we can add FX unit tests to guarantee which project ends up being selected for various input/selection scenarios.

After having tried to hack around with the Combobox, resolved this instead by using SearchableComboBox from controlsfx.
