Getting raster pixel values error #6

Error occurs when the following procedure is followed:

Stop the editing section and keep the Select & Edit tool activated.
Remove the layer and import another new layer
Start editing section (at this time the Select & Edit tool is still activated)
Try to select some cells and get the following error:
