I received this error also. Droid Bionic non-rooted. This same version runs
very well on my Toshiba Thrive with Android 3.1. Thanks!

same here with rooted Bionic. As a result, or maybe some other issue, most
commands are not recognized. Also "cd ~/." fails.

I could be way off here but...i am kind of wondering if Bionic's data folder is
really /sdcard/data not /data? Seems like make Terminal IDE is trying to
install at /data, but Bionic needs it installed at /sdcard/data

Correction to above, maybe Bionic needs it installed at /mnt/sdcard/data rather
than /sdcard/data

I am also getting this on an Asus fonepad. Possibly because $HOME (/data) is
not writeable. Personal files go in /sdcard/data

I am going to try rooting it.

writeable.

Same issue on stock Asus Memopad FHD (~11GB free internal space), however works
perfect on my stock Motorola Photon Q.

Another stock (non-rooted) Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, here.

I'm willing to help (me: Java-Devel on a Debian). For the least I can provide
some inside into my device model, if you wish.
