Where is the source for 1.6.4, 1.6.5, and 1.6.6?

There are problems with that versions. For some reason we do not have
possibility to commit to google code and that versions were lost. So, it's just
impossible to upload sources for that versions: there are nothing to upload.
If you want, decompiled smali sources can be uploaded for that tags. It won't
be actual sources, but it's still human readable, editable and can be compiled
back.
Will it solve issue?

Another option: we would like to accept your help in recovering sources via
decompiling and comparing. If you can do it and send us recovered files we will
add them to source control to be available for all community.
Unfortunately we do not have resources to it ourselves.
There were no changes in native code in that versions, so only java code should
be recovered.

Just run compare on decompiled sources. Hmm... Not so big changes. I think it
will be easy to recreate versions. Ok, we will try to recreate sources and
upload them ASAP.
Main problem is 1.6.4
1.6.5 mostly predefined opds removing and 1.6.6 is just single method changed.
But your help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if I can help here, but... as a contributor I have a copy of
EBookDroid - what's the name? repository? - on my laptop. Since my disk was
almost full, I stopped committing and refreshing source some time ago, well
before I knew EBookDroid was going closed source (Or at least, that's what I
remember; at any rate that is the reason I am sending newer icons via email,
now).
Can I recover the missing files from my copy? If I remember correctly the whole
EBookDroid folder on my system was almost 2 GB in size. I believe I should have
the last opens source version (I haven't checked - I'm a bit busy with my RL
job right now).

Hi, Peltio, no you cannot help.
Missed files were not ever committed - that's main problem and that's why they
are lost.
Good lesson - always use source control!

Since version 2, this project was moved to a closed source license. Is this not
a violation of GPL, since ebookdroid was based upon GPL code
(https://code.google.com/p/vudroid/ )?

All 3d-party GPL code are deleted or moved to separate programs.

I know, but I meant the code base itself. I had the impression that this
project started from vudroid from "pavel.ti...@gmail.com"
(https://code.google.com/u/107718791414856677276/ ), apparently with a fork
under the name vudroidplus (https://code.google.com/p/vudroidplus/ ), which
then changed to ebookdroid.

VuDroid code also was removed or re-written.
All other code is our.
