Text selection has a mind of its own

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.On my tablet all I have to do is try to select text.
2.I don't know about other systems
3.

What is the expected output?

I expect to be able to use the blue handles to select the text I want to copy.

What do you see instead?

The selection area is greater than I want and can't be decreased.  It increases 
whenever the screen is tapped. Sometimes it selects a whole line and can't be 
reduced. I have no control over exactly what is higlighted and copied.

What version of the product are you using?
2.1.0

On what operating system?
Android 4.3

What device are you using?
Samsung Galaxy 10.1 2014 edition.

Please provide any additional information below.

Copying words and Chinese characters for use in a dictionary work perfectly in 
the previous version even though it was an odd method.

Can you provide document and screenshots please. I know that it's not ideal, 
but not that odd as you describe.

I can confirm that the latest version (2.1.1-rc1) corrects the issue with being 
unable to resize the text selection properly. It now works as expected.
