Problem In Login

What steps will reproduce the problem?

 Error : No Connection could be made because the target machine actively 
refused it 72.14.235.125:5222
 The above error will occur when I run your Example application.

 I give my user name(without domain), password, server name as gmail.com 
and select plain text authentication

The error message will display on the status bar. 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I want to chat with my friends through my gmail login.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Product Version : JabberNet-2.1.0.710
Operation System : Windows

Please provide any additional information below.

I expect step by step  instruction to run the project.

I am having the same issue and have verified my local instance of ejabberd is 
up and running fine.

I am running Windows 7 and the error message the sample application is 
returning is: No connection could be made because the target machine actively

I was able to connect and receive a response from boese-ban.de.  I think this 
has to be related to running the server on my local machine and DNS resolution?
