Unite & MultiMonitor on Gnome 42 #310

Describe the bug Hi

I'm running Ubuntu 22.04, Gnome 42 on two-monitor setup with Unite and MultiMonitor extensions. My aim to get absolutely symmetrical setup on both monitor (each monitor to have a dock and top bar panel).

The MultiMonitor addon I'm using is cloned from fork by realh: https://github.com/realh/multi-monitors-add-on where support for Gnome 42 was added. The results I've got so far:

Top bar panels exist on both monitors and windows when maximized don't use title bars

But:

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Install Ubuntu 22.04 with Gnome 42
  2. Install Unite extension
  3. Install Multi Monitor addon extension

Screenshots My settings:

Just checked same setup on Ubuntu 20.04 / Gnome 3.36. I thought it was working there but actually it behaves almost the same.

However on Ubuntu 20.04 / Gnome 3.36 I'm able to drag maximized window on second monitor by pressing on top bar on second monitor. Since I've configured my gnome terminal not to show title bar it becomes tricky to drag the terminal window once it became maximized on second monitor.

Same here.

Gnome has broken backwards compatibility for extensions. This extension now supports only gnome 45.
