App gets stuck on splash screen when trying to resize on folding Android device

Describe the bug When the app is open on a large screen Android device (in my case a Surface Duo), and then expanded across the whole screen, the app restarts and then gets stuck on the splash screen. If it is then shrunk back down, it continues to behave normally as far as I can tell about half the time. It's not 100% consistent across all pages though. Once I navigated to the settings page and then expanded the app, it behaved fine. Though I tried again later, and it too caused the error. But all the other pages seem to cause it to get stuck.

However, if I close the app, and then open it fully expanded, it seems to work fine with resizing as far as I can tell. But if it starts normal sized, then it has the issue with expanding.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Open the app
2. Grab and drag the app towards the center to expand across device
3. See error

Expected behavior At this early stage of development, I'm not expecting a fully optimized interface for larger screen devices to be present, as working on other items is more important. But I didn't expect the app to freeze when I tried to make it larger.

Additional context This probably doesn't have the highest priority, as I have a rather niche device. And I'll do more testing later to see if the issue is also present on other folding devices. But this issue is a little bit of an inconvenience, so I thought I'd at least bring attention to it.

We have had a couple other issues come up from an android user with a folding screen, so you're not the only one. As you say, it's a small audience, but we don't want the app to be unusable for you - so I've made a new label specifically for android folding devices, and I'm not gonna add a priority label for it otherwise.

I'm also gonna edit your title to reflect that this is specifically a folding device issue, and not e.g. a tablet issue, but CMIIW about that.

Can confirm similar issues on Galaxy Z Fold 3. Occasional hangs on splash screen when switching between external and internal screens. Though it seems to only occur sometimes, roughly half the time it hangs and the other half it sends me back to the home screen. Does not seem to follow any discernible pattern in terms of switch order or current page (home, mag, post, settings, etc...).
