Easy-Access Hide or "Seen" for Posts in Home Feed #373

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Uninteresting posts stay in my home feed, because I don't usually open them or vote on them. Sometimes my feed gets less interesting when I refresh, because other people interact with a lot of those posts, but I'm still not interested in them.

(For example, I'm interested in "technology" but I never used twitter, so I don't connect with most of those posts.)

Describe the solution you'd like I'd like to make space for other content, especially posts from niche topics.

I know the meatball menu already has "Hide" at the bottom, but I'd prefer something as quick as voting. Either a Hide button that's visible on the post itself (top right corner?), or the option to make swiping left Hide the post. Open to alternatives here!

Describe alternatives you've considered We could just de-emphasize the post, rather than a binary show/hide.

I think a "Seen" button would be a great alternative, on the top right corner of the post.

It could visually de-emphasize the post next time it comes up:

Cheers, and thank you for all the time, effort, and skill that you're devoting to this project!

I think this is best handled by #173 & allowing you to customize swipe actions to do this, but that's definitely not the only way to approach this. I made a note in that thread, and we'll leave this one open too.

I'm thinking the "hide" functionality at least is somewhat a11y-related, as it allows you to quickly remove posts that come with disturbing CWs for you.
