Missing Slot Info #330

Closed cfhdev closed 3 years ago

Using 9.17 when connecting to systems with more then 9 Slots only Name and Slot Type fields are populated. The remaining fields are at 0 or not populated.

Version 0.9.17.1040

I have the same issue above slot 8, where the Status field shows the correct activity, but the Progress field and the rest are not active.

Thanks for the heads up guys... definitely appears to be a bug. I'll fix asap.

Can either of you confirm that this is still an issue? Testing a client with 11 CPU slots did not yield the same issue for me.

You can see client Quadteron has slots 00 through 10 and 00, 07-10 are online and reporting progress.

Well, you are showing a picture of a 0.9.19 client and your software doesn’t upgrade to more than 0.9.17.1040, even if you manually click the “Check for Updates…” in the Help menu, so I was not aware that any new version was available, but if it is, then the software doesn’t say so or upgrade to it.

The Quadteron picture also shows CPU slots, while my case is about GPU slots, if that makes a difference.

If this 0.9.19 picture is your own test, then I suspect you are also running HFM locally on the same machine that have the slots running, but what I am showing in my case is a remote connection to other machines elsewhere in the network, so this issue might be related to that remote communication.

I am currently not folding, but I can do a run to test it again when your software updates to a new version.

Hi Sparky - latest 0.9.19 preview is available here on GitHub: https://github.com/harlam357/hfm-net/releases

I have a few other user requests (features / changes) I'm adding before a public release and I'd like to get this fixed as well. That public release will be available via auto update / check for update.

Yes these are CPU slots and not GPU slots. I only own two FAH worthy GPUs, not enough to even begin to reach the magnitude I would need to test this in a real work scenario. You may be onto something there with the GPU slots vs. CPU slots. After what I learned from speaking with the FAHClient developer, the primary fix in 0.9.19 may indeed resolve this issue.

FWIW, HFM not run local on the same machine. The interface is the same whether monitoring a client on the same machine or remote. The only difference, perhaps, is latency. But when on the same LAN then that's not a concern.

If you can run another test with 0.9.17 and repro, then confirm a fix with 0.9.19 that would be fantastic! If 0.9.19 doesn't fix the issue, please attach the HFM.log file from the application data folder to this issue here on GitHub. Help > View HFM.NET Data Files

I appreciate your help.

Well, the above 8 x GPU thing seems to be fixed in 0.9.19.1217, since it now shows stats for my 9th.

Excellent! That's great news! Thank you for confirming the fix. Closing this issue. Please continue to use the 0.9.19 preview until the public 0.9.20 is available.

Fixed in build 0.9.19.1217
