Consider using a more permissive license #106

Hmisc is a very large package with a lot of dependencies. This makes it quite a pain to install in certain environment e.g. in a docker container, especially when it is just to use one or two functions. I do love the cut2 function!

In this particular case, it would make a lot of sense for me to copy and paste the cut2 function and use that in my code, with attribution to Hmisc of course. But this is not possible because the GPL has very strong copyleft requirements.

I typically license my personal work under the MIT license and what I do for my employer is typically proprietary. This means I cannot re-use Hmisc for either business or pleasure :(

Would you consider changing your license to something more permissive? For example, all the tidyverse is under the MIT license which makes it extremely convenient to use.
