In this specific case, I'd recommend an abs printed washer or nylon washer from the hardware store. There are documented issues with screws creating shorts and cut traces on the 3.2 board, hence the recent rev to 4.1.

Only with the last few days did you update the wording in the readme to state that M3 plastic washers should be used. I purchased my parts prior to this new advisement and I am wondering just how vital it is to do this.
