I have the same error message on a AMD Ryzen 5 8600G with Radeon 760M Graphics

Hi,
try updating rocm version. I have 6900 XT and it works with both HIP and OpenCL
Yeah, thanks for the tip, looks like it works with 6.2.1 opencl-amd-dev package. The one from repo is 6.0.2. But it's a PITA to have a 28GB -dev package installed just to make hashcat work :)
you can always complain to whoever built that package ;)
