Problem

Associating an existing ID with another keypair.

Use Case: I want to keep my ID that is tied to a software keypair and move it to a secure Ledger hardware wallet keypair.

Solution

Implement this feature.

Alternatives

There is no wallet that supports this feature yet so I used BugBytes tool. The problem is that their signing tool does not support communicating with a Ledger hardware wallet. I have to paste in the private keys of both participants.

Agree that this would be nice. Adjacently wonder if @bugbytesinc would consider adding Ledger support within his tool?

Presently it appears the device only supports account creation and transfer of funds out of that ledger created account. When the device supports key rotation and other types of transactions, it would definitely be nice to extend the signing tool.
