Vagrant + Virtualbox installation on PopOS #13231

OS: Pop! OS OS Version: 22.04 LTS Vagrant Version 2.2.19 Virtualbox Version 7.0.8

Expected behavior

Virtualbox and Vagrant should be able to be installed simultaneously

Actual behavior

Everytime I try to install Vagrant apt tells me I have to remove Virtualbox's package. If I have Vagrant installed and not Virtualbox, the system tells me to remove Vagrant.

Reproduction information

Vagrant version

Vagrant 2.2.19

Host operating system

PopOS 22.04 LTS

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install Vagrant
  2. Install Virtualbox
  3. System removes Vagrant

Solution

The one solution I found was to install Virtualbox in a older version, namely 7.0.6
