same here, but on Windows 7
I can't seem to see anything wrong, but I'm not a pro at VirtualBox logs. Can you try running the VM just in VirtualBox alone? This is potentially just because virtualization extensions aren't enabled on your CPU.
Thanks for your help @mitchellh!
Starting the VM in VirtualBox it comes up to the login prompt for two or three seconds and then suddenly vanishes. There is no message shown in VirtualBox.
Screenshot of the VM running for a few seconds:
After the VM crashes (or is shut down or whatever – I don't know) VirtualBox shows it as canceled:
I spend all night to get vagrant and VirtualBox working again after I upgraded to the latest versions and it kept crashing (even in VBox Manager). In the end the crash only disappeared when I disabled all network interfaces on the virtual machine.
So I kept trying and here is what worked for me:
vagrant up
in an elevated command prompt (as administrator)@hinnerk Maybe you could give it a try.
Yeah this is almost certainly a VirtualBox issue, since Vagrant is completely out of the picture when doing it from the GUI. I would follow up with them. :)
Using either precise32 or precise64 this happens:
Software Versions
Vagrant version 1.2.7
OS X 10.8.4 on Intel i5
VirtualBox 4.2.16
