1 year ago @ps3460 thank you for the issue. There has been some work done in this area and more work to come. Some noteable places and upcoming changes:
- The Vault Usage Metrics dashboard. See
/ui/vault/clients/dashboardThis will show things about your cluster. And as the name indicates it focuses on your cluster's usage. Work on this view has been pushed in various releases since about 1.12. - The PKI engine has been revamped in the UI. A beta version was release in 1.13 and the full version will be ready in 1.14. While the dashboard on this new engine only shows things like number of issuers and roles, if you navigate to the certificates tab and click on the cert it will show you when it's going to expire. Granted, this is nested information and there is no quick view for this information.
- There is work in progress for a general overview page. Similar to the PKI overview page it focuses on counts and quick actions.
I'll bring your comments about a quick view of expiring PKI certs, etc. to the design team as I can see such information being handy.
Describe the solution you'd like In Vault UI can we have dashboards please that report on usage, PKI certs that are about to expire, key lengths used, and TTL being requested, number of read/write for each engine, the status of clusters, number of tokens being issued etc etc
Describe alternatives you've considered Currently we have no view on PKI, and for cluster metrics, we are using third party tools like Grafana
