however, these repos aren't members of the org, so I shouldn't be seeing them at all

I'll have to look into the GitHub api, because the API docs says it pulls all repos (including org repos) that the authenticated member can access. We are currently using an unreleased version of the API, so that may have something to do with the weird functionality, but this version is due to be released in four days.
