The videos there are ancient. There were plans for some sort of carousel feed but I think they were dropped. Here is a reddit thread with some more suggestions as well: https://www.reddit.com/r/haskell/comments/6hpfr9/what_are_your_favorite_introductory_haskell_videos/
Revamping to use basically all new videos (I think the very first should be SPJ's escape from the ivory tower video) would be very good imho, and a PR that added one of the haskell-of-work videos in conjunction with that revamp would be especially welcome by me :-)
Sounds good! And I agree, one of the trademark enthusiastic SPJ videos would be a great first one. So, in addition to some of the videos mentioned in the Reddit thread, these I think could be suitable:
Note that I'm biased towards industry use of Haskell, in contrast to use in research and education, and these recommendations may reflect that.
Maybe we should get some more people weighing in with different perspectives (at least than mine)? Just a thought, not sure how the process works here.
Thanks!
I agree that bias towards industry use is fine, in terms of what we want on a landing page.
I'd propose that you just pick the six best videos in your opinion, and make a PR against https://github.com/haskell-infra/hl/blob/master/src/HL/Model/Videos.hs with them. Then there can be a call for some bikeshedding on the PR. But it helps a lot to have something concrete!
Okay, cool. I'll bring a PR together as soon as possible!

Hi!
Just wondering if you are accepting new videos for haskell.org? I've been making screencasts at https://haskell-at-work.com/episodes.html for the last few months, and thought one of those might be suitable for the site. I could send a PR if wanted.
Cheers, Oskar
