Maintenance #68

This library seems to be completely abandoned, except for dependency bumps. There are plenty of open issues and PRs that noone reacts to. For example, I have a PR (#61) that has been open for over a year without any response whatsoever.

I'd be happy to help maintaining/developing this library, if someone gives me access. Of course I'd also be fine if someone else steps up, as long as there is some progress.

It's 2024 and I wonder what is now the standard way to write a parallel program in Haskell.
