Greetings again. I am on the list archive page for rtcweb. I click Export and choose "Mbox". My browser does nothing for many minutes, then starts the download. I had cancelled twice assuming that nothing was going on, but I can now see that the Datatracker is first reading the (large) archive before giving me any feedback that "yes, I see what you have asked for".

Second issue: once the file is being downloaded, my browser has no idea how large the file is.

Both of these can easily be fixed with a few UI tweaks, and really should be fixed, given the number of WGs with huge archives.

v1.12.0 now provides feedback to the user that the export request is being processed. Note, the export feature is now limited to 5000 messages. To download entire list archives other more efficient methods should be used, IMAP or RSYNC.
