From the photivo.org homepage:
"Photivo is just a developer, no manager and no “Gimp”. It is intended to
be used in a workflow together with digiKam/F-Spot/Shotwell and Gimp. It needs
a quite strong computer and is not aimed at beginners."
However...
However, exactly in this point it seems that it has a bug:
Passing as a command line a full path file name including non-latin (Greek in
my case) characters, it throws an error message saying:
---------------------------
File not found
---------------------------
Input file does not exist.
G:\Media\! Pictures !\
   -
\EV8C8809 2014-01-27 10-25-26.CR2
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
The image manager (XnView MP 0.64 - which shortly will have a new version btw)
opens the same file successfully in the same way but using Adobe Photoshop CC
as back-end (ie. through command line).
The OS is Win 7.1 x64, Photivo is 2013-12-09 (rev 855e46f0c06a - guys how do I
copy/paste that thing? - perhaps is better to put that info in an edit box...)
In order to test it (perhaps you don't have a Greek keyboard handy) create the
following path:
c:\temp\Φάκελος Τέστ\Άκόμη ένας\
...and put there a foo.cr2 / nef / jpg / whatever... and try to open it through
command line.
TIA for your support.
