Motioneye has not been re-installed yet to preserve it's settings, otherwise happy to do that.

Try version 0.19.0

logicland commented 1 year ago

Seems like 0.19.0 is not available for HA or I don't know how to find it?

After waiting a couple of hours Motioneye started working - curious ....

frenck commented 1 year ago

For the love of god... please 🙏

Check if there are issues open for your problem already. This saves you from wasting effort of creating an issue and saves me from wasting time on handling duplicates; time that I could have spent on useful things.

This is a duplicate of #394, #410 and #398 ....

@frenck

Your software work is greatly valued, but forgive us as it's not always easy to trawl through open/closed issues and verify they are related, we are not the experts, just the users.

If the answer is "there is no answer at the moment" that's fine, no response or having to wait is also fine

However our comments are memorialized here, whether they be "noise" , "wasting time/effort" or not being "useful" or "noise" or "useless responses"

motioneye 0.19.0 has literally just come through but I'm now fearful of posting the outcome.

Cool, but the issue is open on the first page you see when you go to the issue tracker.

All I ask is look at it. If you don't want to take the effort to look at it, don't expect me to take any effort in being nice towards this either. If we all put in a little bit of effort, we can go a long way.

However our comments are memorialized here

Good, glad it stuck.

If the answer is "there is no answer at the moment" that's fine, no response or having to wait is also fine

Hence, I redirect you to the other duplicates which you can check out for answers.

Well if you are afraid, please uninstall it and seek something else to use that you do feel comfortable with. That is your choice, it is your setup, not mine.

@frenck Thanks for your comments and cooperation, all "stuck" and memorialized indeed.

As a YT Creator I hope to add a review of HA and Motioneye with the aim of helping people get started and overcoming the pitfalls.

👍 GL! The world of video/NVRs in the open source world, in my opinion, is a horror story in general (not related to this add-on, but all of the solutions out there).
