Current state of local raspberry pi camera support #473

Closed jose1711 closed 4 months ago

Problem/Motivation

Struggling with adding local Raspi cam. It is unclear whether or not are those cameras supported in the current version of HA OS/addon.

Expected behavior

Raspberry Pi camera shows up in menu when adding new camera.

Actual behavior

Long list of cameras show up but none of the entries seem to work (Unable to open video device is displayed). The list of local V4L2 cameras goes like this:

pispbe
pispbe
..
rp1-cfe
rp1-cfe
..
rpivid
rpivid

Steps to reproduce

Install addon and navigate to add camera menu, try to add camera.
