Tracking thread for issue where progress shows less than 100% #3

I encountered an issue where a processing file was uploaded and the checksum 
was successfully calculated, but the progress showed 57% instead of 100%.

Today we had an issue where uncompressing single join file stopped at 99% 
although it appears uncompression was complete. 

This may or may not be related to the parent issue.
