[ ] 1727490 label on search field is not persistent
[ ] 1727489 dropdown fields don't have informative labels
[x] 1727499 when screen is 320px, you lose the number in the "search term" placeholder text
[x] 1728295 select language/select format contrast issues once selected

Put this back in "to do" for now because this is going to be the very last thing we work on. To add visible labels to our search fields (both in the navbar and in advanced search), we will need to essentially redesign the components and will probably take a considerable amount of time.
