Cannot send windows to above/below screen with the keyboard

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Setup an XRandR setup with two screens, where one screen is above the other
2. Open a window on the upper screen.
3. Try to send it to the other screen with "wmiir xwrite /tag/sel/ctl send
sel down".

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The window should shift to the other screen, but it stays in place. With a
side-by-side setup, one can send windows to the other screen with "send sel
left/right", so I would expect a similar behavior here.

What version of the product are you using (wmii -v)? On what operating system?
wmii-hg2429
