For D3000, D3100 and D3200 there is no documentation from Nikon.
A physical device or a recorded USB communication would help to see what PTP
commands/events/properties those devices support. I don't have money and don't
plan to buy one, so if someone can borrow me such a camera I could probably add
better support, or there are some application for Linux/Windows that can record
the USB communication (like USBlyzer). So if you or anyone else can record the
USB communication between the camera and Camera Control Pro 2 (if it supports
those devices) I could analyze the data and probably add better support for
those devices.

I logged every Function of the Camera with USBlyzer and DigicamControl.
I attached the File.
Sorry if I’m doing some mistakes, I’m from Germany and still learn English.

Can you try the attached one, I added some function that will save some info
from camera that I'm still missing.
After you connect your camera in top row you will have a 'i' (info) button.
Press it and after you get the device info displayed press the 'Save info'
button.
It will create a device_info.txt document in your DCIM folder. Please send it
to me or attach in a message.

Did you try using custom bracketing in M mode or in A mode?
Can you try in A mode?
Original comment by hub...@gmail.com

Thanks alot, it works in A mode!
Original comment by duckhorn...@googlemail.com

Will try to make it work in M mode to. The property for shutter speed that is
present on higher models is not present in D3100 (it gives an accurate sutter
speed value).

Try the attached apk in M mode with custom bracketing.

Then only a logcat would give some light on the error as I tested with D7100
and D5000 and on both working with the shutter speed property that D3100
supports.

Btw, when do it crash? When you start the bracketing capture, or right after
you press the BKT button to enter the dialog?

No, the app crashes instantly and doesnt take any photo.
this time I tried it with focus first on and of and both crash.
I atached a file without any filters so schould find anything you need.

Ill try to get a better logcat, 4.2.2 has a tougher time with logcat apps, use
adb to get a bettrr one. Im running ics right now on my note, 4.2.2 on my
nexus. This is great news!
Might want to check out nikonhacker, they have a wickkie on there from someone
who analyzed all the info from the wu-1a wifi module.

When you enter the custom bracketing dialog, do you see the shutter speed
values that will be used?

Also can you check in the shutter speed dialog in what order are the shutter

You can try to enter the custom bracketing dialog and try to start a bracketing
in M mode.

First send me the device_info.txt ('i' button in top row and then 'save info',
the file will be in DCIM folder).
Next if you can connect the camera to your PC and use some program that can
enter and display live view and record the USB communication.
If you can do that I can analyze the data and probably add LV for D3200
