The unicode<->bytestring conversion is quite sucky at the moment, I have to confess.

This is probably the cause for #114, #105, #86, and quite a lot of headache.

I'm currently going through a lot of code to try and whip things into proper shape.

Stay tuned.

A lot of fixes went into 0.5.0. Considering this fixed, reopen if needed
