It looks like we've decided at this point that both Max's rewrite using PackratParsers (the manglesyntax branch) and my rewriting of Expr using separate productions (the precedence branch) have been accepted as the Correct Way of Doing Things. Therefore, we should merge this branch (which is way ahead of syntactical) back into the mainstream syntactical dev branch.
