The G build has Sync option where you can chose what to sync and what to
exclude.
The H build does not have the option. i lose all new contacts and calendar
entries
with every update or wipe!!!

I have looked into this and believe its all to do with Exchange support. I have
exhange set up on my phone and when I created a new contact it showed up in the
Contact app with Exchange by it instead of Google. I deleated my exchange
account and
did the same and it showed up with google next to it and synced with the site
shortly
afterwards.

Conclusion, exchange sync overides google sync
