Contacts not sync with Google on 5.0.2Hr3 #210

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to gmail.com->contacts
2. Add new Contact
3. Go to G1->contacts and there is no that account

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
New contact in Contacts after sync.

What build are you using? Do you have apps-on-sd? What radio? Did you wipe
after flashing (yes if you are on an auto-wipe build)?
5.0.2Hr3, latest radio

Please provide any additional information below.
I found out that there was no Contact sync during 24hours. I think it's not
working at all( And i can't trigger that sync manually (like for gmail and
calendar), but it's another issue...
BTW, on 5.0.2Hr2 it works

Can you confirm a couple of things
1. Are you running exchange
2. If you look at the contact in contacts does it have Exchange or Google
written by it?

It may be simply that your contacts are syncing to exchange not google.

Yes. I use exchange (it sync well). In Contacts i see google and few exchange
contacts

I have looked into this and believe its all to do with Exchange support. I have
exhange set up on my phone and when I created a new contact it showed up in the
Contact app with Exchange by it instead of Google. I deleated my exchange
account and
did the same and it showed up with google next to it and synced with the site
shortly
afterwards.

Conclusion, exchange sync overides google sync

I don't use exchange at all, never set it up, so the google sync issue isn't
related with exchange for me
