Feature Request: TUN/TAP driver in kernel for VPN support #296

The feature I would like to see is:
I would like to see the TUN/TAP driver compiled into the kernel, or a
module made available. You can find it in the kernel config at Device
Drivers -> Network Device Support -> Universal TUN/TAP device driver support

the symbol in .config is "CONFIG_TUN"

The build I want this on is:
ADP1.5H :) although if I remember correctly all the builds share a common
kernel.

Additional information that may help:
This is for openvpn support. I already have a build of openvpn that works
on the phone but the tun.ko it comes with is for the stock G1's kernel, so
it won't work on the Haykuro builds.

For those that are wanting to set up a VPN on their G1, here's the link to
the binary: http://g1.fnord.to/crypto/ (note: I did not do this build)

I'd love to see OpenVPN support too, this would be great.

Another vote for this feature. Would love for VNC to work over my company's
VPN.
