I'm not seeing the same problem. Are you using custom fonts?

I have the same problem. It's not GMail only though, happens in browser aswell.
I have a feeling theres a problem with the fonts. (They're also missing chinese
and
japanese characters, and the latter gives me some problems with my mails from
my jap.
classes :( ).
I'll try to install the fonts from another builds, and see if it fixes anything.

I did a google search through the phone for Google, and hence Google is bolded
in my
search results. It does look SLIGHTLY blurry, very very slightly, I think its
due to
the size of font and the fact that is bolded (Search results).

Hmm... The fonts are still smeared, and as 10qutua says, this might just be how
the
bold text looks (And that this build uses bold text more often).
It did add chinese and japanese support though :D

I'm having the same issue and can confirm that it is NOT a problem with the
fonts
themselves. I pushed RC33 font files to /system/fonts and bold text still
appears
smeared.

Same issue here as well.

I've found an interesting issue that seems to be related to this. I'm using
5.0.2H.
In the browser, if there is any bold text visible in the current page view, the
window-switching animation (where the current view shrinks into the window
thumbnails) are very slow and jerky.
However, if there is no bold text visible in the current view, then the
animation is
silky-smooth. You can test this easily: scroll to an area of a page with no bold
text, menu>window. Smooth. Scroll to another area that has any bold text.
Menu>window: choppy.

on the google reader webpage ( http://reader.google.com/i ) the text is also
smeared

This seems to be an issue with missing or maybe the browser is not using the
correct
fonts. I don't know much about fonts, but the problem seems like the browser is
shrinking the larger fonts to fit the page. If you zoom in a few times, you
will
notice that the bold fonts are not blurred anymore, also if you do the windows
switching like luejerry said, it becomes silky-smooth even with the bold fonts
if the
page is zoom in quite a few times. Unfortunately, it makes reading any text
impractical with the browser zoomed in like that. I believe the browser would
be
much more smooth like G build once this is fixed.
