Suspend current is too high #18

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Build Affected: all (Kernel issue)
Type: SYSTEM
Priority: MAJOR
Description: Suspend current is around 30mA average with battery voltage of 4V.
This is much too high, an causes the battery to drain in 24 hours.
Recreation: Connect external power supply with current display to battery
terminals. Place phone in suspend.
Notes: I have tried to toggle all the gpio's that are available from the
application cpu, but none of them had any impact.

As far as I have been able to figure out the cpu is put in power collapse
(Voltage to the cpu core is cut off)

The major current draw in suspend was the panel that was on. The latest
downloads have a patch for this, and you can expect at least 48 hours of
battery.

Suspend current has been mesured to 10mA with the LCD panel fix. On a Windows
Mobile phone it is almost 0mA.
