Currently the script cannot be used on Solaris derived operating systems due to missing os awareness.

i've no plans to add support for more operating systems. i just don't have the means to test or support them. also, Solaris (and BSD) aren't as widely used as Linux. the script has already gotten more complicated than i would like working on Linux alone.

the goal of the script is convenience, but also to serve as a reference to easily create similar setups on other systems.
